We are Swan Family, and we are here to help you spend some quality time with your family.

We will support you and your family to spend time together in our centres or in the community.

Our Family Time Support Worker will be there to support you during your time with your family. They will be writing down different things you do with your family so your social worker can read about everything you do together.

• When you arrive, you will be welcomed by our friendly receptionist. They will sign you in the building and let you know when your family members arrive.
• You will be introduced to your Family Time Worker who will keep you safe and support you to have an enjoyable time. They will always be in the room with you and can answer any questions you or your family members have.
• If it is arranged for you go to in the community like a park, play centre or other activity, your Family Time Worker will be with you too.
• You may see different Family Time Workers in our centre. They will be there to work with other children, young people, and their families. We have a Staff Board with all of their photographs and names on to help you recognise them. There may be times that your social worker or guardian might like to see you and your family while you are spending time together.
• Your family members will also be in our centre to spend time with you.

• On your first visit you will be able to have a look around the centre at all our themed rooms and pick your favourite
• You will meet the Family Time Workers that will be with you during your contact. You will be able to ask any questions you have and take a look at all our activities that you can do during your time at the centre.
• You will be given your own book where you can write about the fun that you have in contact and attach pictures that are taken in contact

• We have a welcome area for when you first arrive at our centre.
• We have a kitchen for you and your family to use.
• We have lots of games, activities and arts and crafts in our centres. These are in the storage cupboards and your Family Time Workers can go with you to select these.
• We have different rooms so you can pick your favourite room. There is a rainbow room, SeaWorld room, jungle room and graffiti den. Any other rooms you would like to see then we would love you to let us know.
• In our rooms we have couches for you and your family to sit on, cushions and bean bags. We would love to hear from you if there’s anything else you would like to have at the centre.

• We will keep you safe during contact.
• We will listen to you – your opinions and thoughts matter a lot to us, and we use them to make our centres and your contact sessions the best that they can be.
• You will see the same familiar faces at the centre and if you are unhappy about anything then they listen and support you.
• We have regular competitions and activities in the centre that you can take part in.
